No kidding.
The sub beside the couch really gives you a sense of how big it is.
Throw a sheet of plywood on it and it can double as a banquet table. :D
Yeah, this thing is a monster. Even though I've had it for over a month now, I'm still not used to just how big it is (in a good way).

I wish all system pictures could be that nice. What Camera/lens combo?

SheepStar
Thank you. I really appreciate it. I used the Nikon D300 with a Nikon 17-55 2.8 combo for these pictures.

Phil, thanks a lot! Yes, I look up to you so I am trying to copy you...;)
Thanks Sang, just glad you are happy with your new speakers. That is really all that matters in the end. Well, of course, having wife approval is also paramount. I must say, that you are off to a very impressive start. Kudos to you! ;);)

Cheers,

Phil

The RTi8 sounds great. It is very detailed, crystal clear, in your face sound, and the sound stage is awesome. I upgraded from Athena F2s and these are definitely a lot better. I just unboxed my CSi5 and I calibrated my system. Now to watch a movie and see just how great this center speaker is. I have "The Bourne Identity" playing at the menu select screen and wow, there is a lot of bass coming from the center. No center that I have had or heard had that much bass coming from it before (Athena AS-C1, Polk CS2).
I'm glad to hear that your enjoying the RTi8's. You should get may years of enjoyment out of them. Congrats.

Yeah, the more I listen to these speakers, the more I'm liking them. I also have the CSi5 now, and let me just say that it is super clear and it sounds more full and less tinny sounding than my previous centers (Athena C1 and Polk CS2). It's a plus that my wife also likes the new speakers. Although she did mention the size of the CSi5.

Thank you. I'm planning to no upgrade for a few years. At least that's my plan at this moment.:D

Nice setup and pictures. I too put a towel over my Piano Black Ultra to protect it. It's in the master bedroom, so pillows and blankets find their way on top .

Congratulations on your new system. Nothing like a quality system to make movie night a thrill to come home to.

I wish more people took photos without using a flash. I find it works better most of the time too!!!

Keep us posted on your progress and if you need speaker placement recommendations, a few photos of the room as a whole will help.

Good Luck!

Yeah, I have my nieces over sometimes and they love touching and writing on things that they are not allowed. I think I might break down and cry if I caught my niece writing all over the finish on the MFW-15. Better safe than sorry.:D

Thank you and I am loving my new system right now. I haven't been able to fully enjoy my speakers yet because I am breaking them in and I don't want to play them too loud.

I actually did use a flash to take all my pictures. The beauty of DSLRs is that you can mount an external flash to bounce the light. You can actually see the flash in my MFW-15 picture. I didn't have much time to play around and get the non flash look. You are right though, direct flash makes for some ugly pictures.:)
