Please Help!! Surround won't work

OK, so I have a Kenwood Receiver model KR-V5570 and Cambridge Soundworks Ensemble I speakers. It has two slave subs and two smaller speakers. I also have a Technics speaker which I assume is designed for the center and a Cambridge soundworks 500w PSW-1 subwoofer. I have been trying for the life of me to hook this up, I've read the manuals, etc yet I have had nothing but problems. The system shuts off if it's too loud, not all speakers have sound, etc.

If anyone could help me with how to set all of these up including the sub I would greatly appreciate it.

The manual can be found here http://www.scribd.com/doc/3279806/Kenwood-KRV5570-krv5570pdf-Owners-Manual-English

and the speakers manual here http://www.cambridgesoundworks.com/pdf/manuals/orig_ensemble.pdf

Many thanks everyone!

I'm still looking, but I haven't found a good source of info on the PSW-1. What kind of inputs/outputs does it have?

Thanks.

Here is a picture of part of the back of the sub.

Does the PSW-1 have a cross-over frequency dial on it? I'm currently at a loss as to how to include it in the loop, but I'm still thinking.

So far, here's what I'm thinking:
1. Connect the Ensemble speakers to the receiver exactly the way the speaker manual says to do it. Use the "A" speaker terminals (I'm assuming it has "A" and "B", although I can't read the manual all that well).
2. Connect the Technics speaker to the center channel speaker terminals on the back of the receiver.

Now, the system shutting off at high volume could just mean that the receiver can't quite handle the load that those speakers present. Can it play okay at moderate volumes?

It would most likely be a round knob with some numbers written around the circumference. The numbers would probably be in the ballpark of between 40 and 160.

So, how do you have everything hooked up right now?

And, which speakers don't have any sound?

I couldn't figure out how to get the 2 subs to work. I had the 2 speakers and center working, the center was plugged in center and the 2 front speakers were plugged into the rear but that was it. Now everything is unplugged and I want to start over and have everything work...

For some reason when speakers are plugged into the front panel they don't work or the system shuts off or something of the sort.

For now, I'd recommend trying what I mentioned in post #4.

On your receiver, only have the "A" speakers turned on for the fronts (have the "B" speakers turned off, and don't have anything plugged into the "B" speaker terminals).
