Ok so I ordered this last week, and at this very moment the 93 pound beast is on the Fed Ex truck out for delivery. Wish me luck getting this thing in the house by myself when it arrives:D

Don't worry, subs never show up on the day they say they will.

Congrats!

I'm still looking at getting one of these because it is much smaller than the SVS Ultra I keep telling myself I don't need.;)

Wuss

Get a blanket, and place the subwoofer on it. Then just pull it around the house. Or if you don't want to be a wuss. Pick it up, and move it around.

And the day you get one you'll be asking yourself how you ever did without it. :p

You could tip the FedEx guy and have him do it himself or help you out if you're going to be there.

LOL! Dude I only weigh like 135lbs, I dont want to pull my back out. I can see myself trying to explain that at work. We'll see how it goes, Ive never owned a sub over 45lbs before, but Im sure I'll manage.;)

CONGRATS!!! That has got to be exciting. Every engine noise, every squeaky brake sound. "Is that Fed-Ex? Is it?! Oh please, oh please, oh please..." :D

Brings back memories of when I had my Ultra delivered. Same deal - stayed home from work to sign for it. Have fun! It takes some time to unpack and set up, of course, but enjoy that bad boy!

Also, please let us know how you like it. I'm looking forward to hearing how well the wireless works in those.

It's going to be a good day. Another Audioholic gets his wings...or something like that. :)

My surrounds and my rack are due here today as well, GIK panels will be here on Thurs. and my D5 LCR should be here by the end of the week. So my weekend is going to be filled with fun with setting everything up.

OMG!!! Freaking FedEx damaged my sub:mad: I cant believe this, Im so pissed off right now...Called Hsu and I'm pretty sure they are going to take care of me, but this is just to much. I cant stand FedEx... I think double boxing should be more of the norm

Arrrgggg!!!

So sorry, Stripes. That BLOWS! UPS punched a hole through the box of my PC-Ultra (well, they did it both times one was delivered). Those aren't double boxed, but luckily they missed any critical areas. So, the sub itself is damaged? Ugggg.

Yeah, Hsu should be able to take care of the Fed-Ex claim and get you a new sub. I hope it doesn't take too long for that. It sucks that you took the day off from work and had this happen. I've been there, and it isn't fun.

Thanks guys, the woofer is fine its the encloser that is messed up. The top front corner looks like a forklift blade of something similar drove into it, crushing the wood inward. Then the bottom left front corner looks the same, and about 4 inches up there is another gash. 3 in all right behind the grill.
The box itself didnt look to bad, I mean it shipped from California and Im in North Carolina so I knew it would be a little worn but it wasnt until I took out the sub that I noticed the gouges in the box, due to the fact that it was someting skinny that went in and not gaping holes punched in to it.
I wanted to take pictures but I needed to get to work so I just packed it back up and set it aside.

But on a lighter note the sub itself is absolutely beautiful! I got the Rosenut and I was so impressed on the build quality and the finish, which had a superb gloss over the wood. They dont have stocks of the ULS's so each one you order is built and then shipped to you. Which I think is awesome, it just shows the time they put in for their customers. I guess its time for the waiting game again, and this time it makes it all the more difficult on seeing what I'll be getting...

Very sorry to hear of the damage of your new ULS-15... I am dying to hear more reviews about them, I love sealed subs.... Im sure HSU will handle this right quick, unfortunately that continues your agonizing wait.

Please post some pics of the sub here, would love to see some real in home pics of the Rosenut...

I'm sure that HSU are professionals about dealing with shipping damage by now, seeing how neither FedEX nor UPS seem to have the ability to do anything gentle with products in their possession... :(

Man, I am so sorry to hear about this. To be honest, I have NOT been too happy w/Fed EX myself lately. It is sad when UPS does a better job.:eek: Which, of course, is not really saying too much.:rolleyes: I feel really bad for you. However, I am sure Hsu will get this taken care of asap! Please take some pics if you can. Many here are looking forward to it. Good luck on getting your new sub safely.

Cheers,

Phil

Yikes! That's a real bummer. I can say this, SVS did me right by using BAX Global. Nary a scratch on the box...

IMO, the most beautiful sub on the planet, it's like a bigger version of the SVS SB12+ only better!
