Nice looking, reasonably priced cables

I know basically all cables that are well shielded perform about the same, but I want a pair of very nice looking speaker cables because they are going to be very visible. Do I have any options?

I need to go from banana plug to spade connector, or really spade to spade would work too. I like the look of the Axioms, but spending $150 bucks for a pair of speaker cables is a little much.

I will second Bluejeans. DIY or buy them built from them.

Speaker wire is not shielded, nor does it need to be, so there is not even a concern there.

If you wanna spend the big bucks, look at Transparent Audio and AudioQuest.

How about these:

I made them with Canare 4s11 from westlake, tech flex, shrink tube, boots from parts express and spades & banana's from ebay.

I made all three of my fronts for under 100 bucks.:)

I knew you were going to try and sale those ugly blue things:eek::D

I paid 70 bucks for my beautiful, snake-skin cables:p

You guys are awesome.

That's what I have.

Those are sick. A pair of 9-footers for 90-100 bucks isn't too bad either! I'm going to e-mail them and see if they offer a student discount too :D Still officially a college kid for three more months, so, gotta make it count haha

The "Customer Reviews" section is a little funny .... with someone mentioning the break in time of their cables and how much better their amplifier sounds... but, as long as they work well and look good, thats all I care about. ;)

So get some tech flex with them :D Only adds a few bucks.
Where did you get the Tech Flex from? Will it thicken the cable as well? I have nice speaker cable, I just want it to look thick and expensive. Kind of like fake designer sunglasses, ya know? haha

Haha, I know the feeling. I'd love to have knockoff Shunyata power cables just for the look.

You can get tech flex from Parts Express or any number of other places. It doesn't really make the cables much thicker really, but with just a little shrink wrap, it will look nice. At Bluejeans, you used to have a check box to add it to your custom wire order, but I don't see it on there anymore - they may still do it.

It looks like they do it for RCA cables, but not speaker.
