I made the image larger in the article. Bigger drivers don't always equate to better subs. As I said in my write up, this sub sounded much larger than it was.

True but, I guess that all depends on the size of the room though....

Even 4 High Output 10" subs won't touch my 8200 cu ft room open to everywhere... I guess I have my own issues to contend with...

Define high output 10s? The design WmAx and Avaserfi put together with that kappa produces SERIOUS SPL, evne with the 10inch. Andrew mentioned that actually broke a window, with just 1.

Wow that Paradigm SUB25 looks absolutely awesome.

3" peak to peak, 3000 Watts RMS (7500 Watts peak)

Shame it's not the same price as the Servo 15v2. That's a lot to ask with what you can get from Epik, eD and SVS for $1,000 or more less.

How much less distortion do the Paradigm subs need. I'll be interested to see some tests on this. I know that when I listen to a 12Hz test tone the Servo 15v2 makes a small "clacking" noise, as though it's hitting the limits of its excursion, which is 2"; what would an extra inch do?

That is surely a beautiful looking sub.... Obviously a very high dollar mark they are aiming for.... $4K...
I'm curious about the optional EQ they were speaking of... wondering if the Paradigm's Perfect Bass Kit (PBK-1TM) is working in the time domain.

I can't argue with you Sheep.... but I seriously doubt that broken window was in a room anywhere near the size of mine... It would be impossible to pressurize the area I'm speaking about with the kappa...

My F112 is unbelievable in my 1700^3 room....

Looks very similar to the Signature Servo.

I didn't know Paradigm mad e a subwoofer that ran off 3- 20A lines.

My F112 is unbelievable in my 1700^3 room....

Being that the F112 is using a woofer(though a great woofer) in a suboptimal sealed enclosure, that small sealed enclosure is losing a lot of LF SPL. The 12" design that Sheep refers to would easily produce at least 2x more linear SPL under 30Hz, as compared to the F112, while the F112 would produce a little more SPL over 30Hz, as compared to the Kappa Perfect design mentioned.
