What did you watch this weekend?

OK, on Saturday it was 300 and on Sunday it was Master and Commander. Sounded so nice.

Master and Commander is a favorite of mine.

The pilot of Witchblade. Well, as much of it as I could handle. Unbelievably bad, IMO. Reminded me of the mind-numbingly too long fight sequences in The Matrix Revolutions, except that there more of them and the effects, acting, and music were worse. One of the few DVDs that I've decided to shut off because life it too short to waste on it.

Hey, maybe it gets better as the series progresses. However, much like the question of how many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie roll center of a Tootsie pop, I'll never really know. Unless, of course, I choose to accept the Owl's approach.

Watched Vantage Point {we liked, going to watch again}, Son of Rambo {different, humorous at times, different}.

Hot Fuzz and Bourne Ultimatum

Harold and Kumar Guantanamo is great. Gotta love NPH and the way he plays a straight NPH. The unrated version is a definite. Make sure you crank it for the opening sequence (shower scene)...

Went and seen Bangkok Dangerous starring Nicholas Cage. I thought he did a great job and the movie was better than I had anticipated it to be.

Transsiberia - Pretty good suspense flick. Innocents on the train across Siberia, run into drug mules, rogue Russian cops, drug lord enforcers and lots of snow. The lesson of the story...if you're in China and have to choose between a fairly safe plane ride back the the USA or a very very long train ride across the wilds of Russia.....take the plane.

I'm glad you said it. I thought I was the only one on this site that watched something on my high def display other than scifi, action and horror movies. I also watched the premiere of "TruBlood" on HBO last night. (Skip it!)

TruBlood was really good! The wife and I were laughing most of the time... it had that bad horror movie type of humor, only with a really good plot.

Entourage was awesome as well!

sat night, watched a dvd that i had borrowed from a friend: The DEER HUNTER, great cast, freakin long though, almost three hours. then i watched Sahara with Humphrey Bogart,and then last night i watched Batman Begins.

Picked up LOTR trilogy extended addition. Had the standard edtion. This is my first viewing of the extended stuff. Very good!
