While scouring CEDIA, it was pretty impossible to get away from the boom generated by all the active demos competing to get noticed in a crowed noisy show floor. Since bass waves travel through walls, you can rest assured that those companies engaged in bleeding edge design will get most noticed by folks walking by. That being said, companies such as Paradigm and JL Audio put forth elaborate demo rooms to showoff their new product lines. We took the time to take a listen and did not walk away disappointed. Check out new high excursion subs from Paradigm JL Audio, Monitor Audio, Velodyne and many more..

Thank you for some updates on new High Excursion Subs other then JL..

I can imagine that Paradigm is putting their best foot forward for subs... As well as Monitor Audio and Anyways, some great info in this thread about Subs as well... Velodyne is starting to make some changes as well... they are way overdue as the original leaders of the pack for Incredible In house subs..

Don't be underestimating your High Excursion SVS Ultra 13...

Bang for the buck for sure... extreme performance, flexible and ahead of its time.

These next few years have some amazing products in store for us.... Can't wait to see more results from Cedia

Would it be possible to get some larger pictures?

And what is that JL thing at the top? It's doubled in surround!:D

I don't think thats a double surround, instead of a concave driver, its convex with more bling...

What, your Ultra not bringing those smiles anymore? ;):D
Not at all! :) I just saw those price tags. 3-6 grand. All things considered, I'll keep the Ultra:D. The Ultra still has me smilin' for sure.

Sounds like Paradigm is upping the ante so to speak. Who knows, they may just do it!!!!! Oh well, it is out of my price range anyways, but it sure never hurts to dream! :D:D

Cheers,

Now that you mention it, it looks like it could be a Passive Radiator. I would imagine a driver with a surround that beefy would also have a beefy magnet, but I don't see one.

Guess we'll have to wait from a response.

Wow, the Ferrari subs finally come to market. Not that the JL Gotham was any KIA :D For the money I'd go with 4 ULS-15's first.

If money was no object, Id get me a couple of Gothem's. But money is an object, and I agree with you... Quad ULS-15's would be awesome...
Far more bang for the buck... :)

Never mind, it's JL's thin sub for cars.

3" peak to peak excursion!

Those subs are really quite pleasing on the eye; and from the sound of it, the ear too!

Too bad SVS didn't introduce a new dual ultra 13, that would have been awesome!
