Neijii, I thought that you were going to try out the Polks from Best Buy. If you've reconsidered, then I'll again recommend that you consider the Dayton subs from partsexpress.com.

As for the KEF, I don't know anything about that one. Sorry.

Yea, i'm just getting my options, making a list then narrowing it down..same way I did that with the bookshelf. Makes me feel better when I finally pick one that way. :D

I'm doing research on the ones you recommended for sure.

I understand. I hope that I didn't sound like a jerk - wasn't trying to be one.

Mazer has also recommended this Cadence sub at least a couple of times.

EDIT: Mazer is quick, Mazer is wise. He got you hooked up while I was searching for that Cadence link. Good man!

Congrats! Man - new speakers, new receiver, and a new sub. You are going to be loving it.

I agree...I hate paying for shipping. But, let's face it. They are going to get their money somehow. If the shipping was "free", the sub would just cost more, right? So, try not to think much about that.

Yeah, my Hsu Research VTF-3 HO Turbo was $100.00 shipping, and so was my SVS PB13-Ultra. Those are big boy subs too. Everything has shipping and handling if you order it.

I hear ya...i'll just think of it as a $25 fee for being able to get a better sub than something BB sells haha.

So far I posted about which 2 front speakers to get..you guys helped..then the subs..you guys helped...i already know what i'll do when I want rear speakers..take the 2 front 4B and put them in the rear and get the model up for the front...hmm

I hate running out of questions...at least i ran out of questions the same time I ran outa money lol

Only problem I see. You jump at the first suggestion you get. Other then the sub which there are not to many suggestion for the price point you wanted. You pulled the trigger on speakers very fast when there were other options you never explored. Hey, but it's your dollar not mine.

I didn't jump at all..if you followed my thread..i was comparing MANY different speakers..

The ones I chose were actually probably towards the end of suggestions after doing research.

I also liked the fact, which I stated before that they give a 30 day trial..

Remember what I said about the 4B's only going down to 100 Hz. Your sub may or may not playback left/right information meant for the 4B's. Take my advice and keep all Aperion Shipping material, and within the first year you can trade up with 100% refund on the 4B's. A pair of 5B's with that sub will be AWESOME in your bedroom, crossed over at 80Hz., the THX standard most of us Audioholics use. Please consider this advice.

Aperion is a great company to work with. I tried one of their Bravus 12D subs for three weeks and they had no problem taking it back. The sub sounded killer, but distorted at very high volume levels compared to my Hsu Research VTF-3 HO Turbo at the same volume. So I sent it back and bought the SVS PB13-Ultra.

So you're saying the Dayton sub with the 4Bs isn't as compatible as the Dayton with the 5Bs?

Well given my budget, the Dayton is probably the best sub for the money like you guys said..as far as front speakers go, I'll give these a try, if I don't like them I can send them back and I'll explore other options.

But again, for the money I'm able to spend I didn't have MANY options. I also have a limited space, so I can't use large speakers..

Neijii,

I think you made a good choice! A lot of people have bought the Dayton sub and have been pleased.

Good Luck and enjoy your system :) .

No. Your going to be very pleased with the sound of this system. Try the sub between the two 4B's, and if it sounds good leave it there. That sub has plenty of output, so your parent/roommates will hate you :D

The 5B's go deeper, and may have more midrange, but try those 4B's, you'll be happy with the sound, if I know Aperion, and I should .
