Help needed please

Hello all this is my first post on the Audioholics site and I would just like to say thanks to all that make this site possible. I have learned so much by reading all of the reviews over the last couple of years.

Ok so here is my question. I am currently remodeling a house and I want to put some TV's in each room. If you all could suggest the best three models from highest to lowest price I would be so greatfull.

Hello there welcome. There are so many choices and everybody has their own opinion on whats the best. I am still looking for the right tv for me. I would suggest you take the info you get here and do some looking on your own to get a better picture of what you are looking for. Best of luck.

To help you with the "best" TVs, I think that you'll need to give us some more information about what you're looking for. What size are you looking for? What is your ambient light going to be like (i.e. potential sources of glare)? Do you want to wall-mount the TVs (so, flat panel), or are projection TVs okay? Do you have a specific budget?

Those are just some of the questions that come to mind at the moment. Any info that you can give to help narrow down the recommendations will help you out in your search.

TV models

There are certain models that I can generally recomend for most situations.
The Samung 650 serires LCD are very good for the money and can be found in 40", 46", and 52"
The model number would read SAM ln(40,46,52)a650.

If you want a plasma, the Panasonic 800 and 850 series are good also
The model number would be Pan th50pz800u

If you want a really good small TV, the Son kdl32xbr6 is about the best I know of. It might even be overkill for the size.

Still, it is probably best to let me know the specifics of the room so I can make a better suggestion

All of these sets will be wall mounted. I am not sure about the size yet but all of the rooms are decent bedroom size around 20'x15'. The lighting is controllable there are not a lot of windows in this house and all windows will have treatments on them. As far as the budget goes I was hoping to try and get three levels 1st the top of the line 2nd the middle of the road but still good performance and the 3rd the best bang for the buck set.

Welcome. The thing is, like everyone's said... it's hard to recommend a tv without knowing more specifics. Critical viewing or not? Size.. etc. The price differences range and overlap so much between models and sizes that a top end 42 inches can cost the same as a lower end 50 inch. So if you can, give us a better idea of what you want each tv to do... your expectation... and you'll get a flurry of well thought of choices.
