b. and the cost is typically less

You can not purchase them.

I pay $1.50 a month for one multi-stream cable card.

This allows both of the tuners in the Tivo to work.

Installing it was a simple as inserting the cablecard, calling the number that was on the screen that popped, up and reading off a string of numbers to the guy on the phone.

Within five minutes I was up and running.
