Greetings,

My new 50" Pani is sitting on the basement floor, ready for mounting; problem is, I can't remember the cabling specifics. I have HDMI ready for hookup. Power is close by. My toys include an amp/receiver, PS3, Hi-Def. cable box. I also have a 5 spkr. surround + sub. Question: Is the only cable I need running into the back of the TV the HDMI? I plan to run everything thru the amp/receiver, thus I'm assuming the HDMI to the TV is all that is required.

Thank you for your patience in assisting a noob.

Regards,
Dano

HDMI and the power cord is all you need if you have a HDMI AVR and you want all switching to occur at the AVR.

What brand and model is your receiver? Since I have no clue what receiver you have it is worth to note that if you are passing HDMI through your receiver, if you own an entry level receiver, some do not pass audio through HDMI, just the video. If this is the case you might need to run a seperate audio cable such as a digital coax or toslink/optical cable.
