They are here, hooked up, playing some Chopin Etudes thru them, as that was in the cdp already. Sound quite nice, and a decent if amorphous soundstage. Haven't got them to image to any great extent, but its a nice effect overall so far for the money. Pleasant sounding, though the detail doesn't touch my 'stats. Not a big surprise as I paid more than 20x more for those.
They do look nicer than the B2 as Mike mentioned, no doubt. And only going by iffy memory, them seem to be heavier as well. Don't care to look up the specs right now.
Styrofoam was still in place, but broken into pieces. Two binding posts are broken off. The upper pair on one speaker. Found the posts at the bottom of the box. Original box with manual. Seems to be adequately packed, and well taped. So, either UPS really was rough with this box. . . The corresponding pair of posts were not tightly screwed, I think, on the other pair. The bottom posts of both speakers were firmly screwed.
The plugs for the posts for both upper pairs were missing. This I don't care about at all.
Too bad about the broken posts. I will still give Will a positive review, which is tempered only by this damage. It has no effect on the performance of the speakers, nor can these cosmetics be seen from the front, obviously. Can't easily bi-amp or bi-wire these speakers, and I highly doubt that the recipient of this gift will care in the slightest.
Otherwise, they look to be flawless in condition.
Gee, that was long . . .
