Hello everyone. This is my first post here and I figured I would start with a question. I have a Denon PMA-2000IV R that showed up as a surprise about 3-4 days ago. I ordered it on accommodation when working for an audio dealer here in my town. It was discontinued I was told but it showed up 5 mos. later after leaving the store to pursue bigger and better things.

Anyway, I need a pair of speakers. I would like bookshelves because of space but also they tend to dissapear. I sold B&W, Canton, Phasetech to name a few and was going to see what I could find on Audiogon. I seen the Cometes from Triangle, PSB GB1s and some used DM 602s. I have a pair of Sound Anchor Stands that will work well with most so now I am looking for a recommendation. I have heard some PSBs but not these. I have heard the B&Ws countless times, but have not heard the Cometes or the MA S Series bookshelves I seen listed as great choices.

I listen to a wide veriety of music from classical to metal and play it soft to moderatly loud. Associated equipment would be the Denon and a Pioneer Elite DV-59 as a CD/SACD Player. I may also be using a Pro-Ject Debut III as well.

Many thanks in advance.

My system is based on the PSB Image series which is one series down from their G series abd I'm really happy with it. I don't know what PSB was thinking when it replaced its Stratus series with the G series. To me the G series doesn't offer much difference from their Image series. If you have the budget, take a serious look at the Synchrony series speaker. Its a 4 ohm series so it requires a stout amp to make em sing.

My music tastes are similar to yours and I also own a Project turntable. Good luck. :)
