Well I would have to pay to ship them back to the dealer's supplier at a 15 % restocking fee and that does not include shipping them. So I figured I would suck it up an try to sell them at a resonable price as I did open them and all. I would rather eat a little and be able to get something that I am happy with than just stay where I am...

And yes bandphan, I think I get the idea...lol

Don't get me wrong...these two subs sound really fantastic, deep, and much more even which is what I was looking for. However, I clearly got used to the impact I had with the SPL-1500r in the corner.

The only other thing I can think of to do would to add an Velo SMS-1 (which I was going to do anyways) which outputs to three subs and then drop a SVS tube in the corner for that low end gut feeling....

The only issues that come to mind with this is the tuning and musicality of the subs matching....

errr, no. those don't go deep. wait til you get the "other" subwoofers for "deep". (the SB12, doesn't go deep either)

that's the right thing to do, whatever your sub, you need the sms-1

yep, don't mix and match. use the minivee's in another setup like your bedroom, pc, t&b, etc.

Yeah, thats what I was thought....although now I am not looking at the sb-12 but more the pc-plus cylinder subs as I know those go lower than the SB-12. All the other of the SVS box subs or being phased out in the plus series and two ultras are two expensinve....

So the cylinders seem like the right solution....

I can't believe that if you've done business with this audio store before, and have a good rapport with the guys. That they will not help you out of this situation without penalty.

That's what I was thinking. Maybe they cut him such a great deal that they'd be losing money to eat the shipping and open box fees?

Well if he got a "great deal" then he should be able to sell them on Craigslist, or E-Bay, and get his money back. Might take a little time, but it would be worth it.

Believe me...I have them posted everywhere and will be waiting to see what happens....at this point all I can try is to see what happens with time...and decide and get the replacement...

Wanted to thank everyone for their help and suggestions....I decided to keep one of the MiniVee10's and use the preamp outs on my receiver for the main l/r channels to add some more authoritative bass response to my RTi12's...

The real news is that I ordered a SVS 16-46 PC Plus yesterday that they had just been returned for an exchange...I got it for $829 which seemed great to me as the unit is still new...not to mention it fits my space so much better than a box....I will most certainly be posting photos and my impressions...

Thank you all again...Now all I need is some hardcore test material...
