Dual Subwoofer setup...

I just picked up a 2nd Velodyne DPS-12 to run a matching dual setup. I am using a Y-connector from the sub pre-out on my receiver to the LFE input on each of the subs and have both subs at the front of my room in this format...L - SW - C - SW - R. My main question is...Should I have 1 sub set at 0 phase and 1 at 180, or both set to the same. Any other recommendations on running a dual sub setup or how mine is setup would be great.

Set them both to the same phase, and that should be the phase that matches your mains and center. If you put those subs 180 degrees out of phase they will cancel each other out!

The best way to phase to your mains is to play a tone at about the F3 of your mains or a little above, with the mains set to large and with the sub crossover an octave above the F3 of your mains at least. Then phase the subs for greatest output with the mains and center combined, without adjusting the sub gain, just adjust the phase control until you have the greatest output on your spl. meter, or by ear if you don't have one.
