Which would be better?

I'm looking to update my sub within the next couple months. I'm thinking Deftech Supercubes since I get a pretty decent price on them. What I'm wonder is would I be better off with one Supercube I or two Supercube III's? There would only be a minimal price difference to either set. Either way it would be a great increase in quality from my current setup, even one SC III would be an awesome step up. As always thanks for the feedback in advance.

I can't give you a great answer, but here is my opinion. I tested the SC III and found it lacking below 30Hz when watching Saving Private Ryan at the store near me. I have heard that the SC I is much better. What is your actual budget? Do you have a limitation on the size of the sub? I tried out the Ultracube 10 from Paradigm and thought that it was much better than the SC III.

The Ultra cube sucks too. I remember hearing that in a store and being thoroughly disappointed with it. AVtalk has measurements on it.

My budget for this is relatively minimal and I bring these models up since I work at BB Magnolia and get a significant discount on them. If I were paying retail in this price range I would just look at SVS :D Other options would include anything BB Mag carries or maybe even stuff that Magnolia AV carries depending on the mood of the store I contact. Thanks for the feedback so far.

I would get an SVS PB13-Ultra or a SB12-Plus! subwoofer instead of a Def Tech sub and I really like Def Tech speakers

I would not recommend anything less than the SC I, even in multiples.
