Thoughts on new system

I am planning on spending about 15K on a new system. Currently I have an old Mit CRT HD projection with Klipsch Heritage line of speakers and Yamaha gear.

The new gear will be:

Pioneer Elite Pro 60" Plasma
NAD T775
Paradigm Studio 100 mains
Paradigm Studio CC590 center
Paradigm Studio ADP590 surround
Sony BDP350 Blue Ray

I will continue to use my old Paradigm PS1000 sub.

Any thoughts?

I have that same system, and I love it.... sounds great....

Only thing I would change is that you trade the Pioneer Plasma with my old 50" Panasonic that is starting to get outdated.... :p

But seriously, what size is your room...?

Don't forget to think about adding acoustic treatments....

HT gear

Nice equipment list.
If you have a dedicated room with good light control, consider a 1080p front projector and 100"+ screen.

Make sure the NAD has all of the latest HDMI features including HDMI audio processing and upscaling to 1080p. You might also consider a seperate pre-pro and amplifier.

Your high end system might also be worth of a couple new subs.

The PS3 is one of the best and the cheapest currently available BlueRay players.

I'd prolly switch the NAD to a pre/pro and amp like the Integra 9.8 w/ Emotiva XPA-5 combo. Much more flexibility options that way and very future proof. I've heard the Studio 100's at two different places, one with a Pio Elite receiver power them and another with a separate amp and it was no contest. They just sounded like a completely different monster at the place with separate amp (for the better). I absolutely hated them at the first place and at first I just thought that they were bad speakers but I decided to give them another shot at the other shop. Even if you have to get a cheaper TV like a 58" Panasonic 800U in order to afford a pre/amp combo your speakers will thank you for it.

Nothing wrong with the NAD's amplifier. They are as stout as an seperate amp and will drive 4 ohm nominal speakers without breaking a sweat. The futur proof arguement I'll agree with you on. NAD always seems to lag behind the technology curve from a pre/pro being cautious as what to include and not to include.

Made the Purchase.

Well I made the purchase now. I changed out the NAD for the Integra DTR-8.8 (guess I want the bells and whistles), the Sony Blu ray for a PS3 game console and upgraded the center to the Paradigm CC-690. We will see how it goes with my older sub.

Nad 775

The NAD 775 is a fine receiver and should have no problem to to drive your listed speakers. At present it cannot decode HD audio, but NAD promised to release the upgrade board. Make sure you set up using the AUDYSSEY.

Yea, those Integra'a are catching some eyes lately. I think it sounds like a killer system! good job on the choices. and BTW why the hell not use the PS3 and spend the dough on a better center channel speaker? People should pay attention to you and your smart purchasing decisions. for real.
