Anyone use River Cable speaker cable? Was wondering if it was a good cable, or if anyone has any other suggestions for good speaker cable.

Thanks.

How much? Blue Jeans, Monoprice, are good, so is Home Depot's 14ga, or 12ga Blue looks good on top of it all. but if price is an issue, then just price shop for same ga.

They don't sopund any better than others but they look cool and seem to work just fine. I'm a fan of their tensioned banana connectors, provided you are using them with binding posts that have adequate spacing so the shields don't touch.

I am not a huge fan of their flat cables but their Starflex is just fine and it looks great. I reviewed all of their speaker cables so check our product reviews section for more info.

Are you planning on putting end connectors on yourself ? You need a good secure end conenction, screw-on banana plugs (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=104&cp_id=10401&cs_id=1040115&p_id=2801&seq=1&format=2)

Basically wire is wire as long as you have good physical connections.

14 AWG wire is sufficient for most speaker connections under 20-25 ft.

You can spend more on getting a larger wire ( lower AWG number) and spend a lot more buy buying from more expensive cable/wire vendors.

I'll give them credit, that's some of the nicer looking cable I've ever seen.
I don't do math so good at the end of the day but unless I'm missing something I want to give them credit for getting you to give them credit for speaker wire that is in excess of $50/lin.ft..

Correct me if I'm wrong but are we talking about spending more on the cable than the speaker?

In the final analysis, your point stands. That is some pretty wire. :)
