Im looking to quell some of the brightness from an Acurus amp/preamp, but I want to retain the big bass that I get from my original Monster cable. Is AudioQuest type 4 worth a try?
If you have such acoustic issues, look elsewhere for the solutions, not your amp or wiring. Urban legends, mythology and voodoo is everywhere.Im looking to quell some of the brightness from an Acurus amp/preamp, but I want to retain the big bass that I get from my original Monster cable. "Wire is wire" Peter Walker OBE. Founder of Quad, The Acoustical Manufacturing Company. It was true then and its true now. I find it strange that people continue to get sucked in by this spurious science.Im looking to quell some of the brightness from an Acurus amp/preamp, but I want to retain the big bass that I get from my original Monster cable. A speaker that is too bright for his tasteAnd what speakers does the OP have?![]()
I have always been interested in the Wash Driver. Personally I think they mucked them up when they added the tweeters, to boost the HF. You might want to try disconnecting the tweeters.I have Ohm Walsh 2s. NOT an in your face speaker by any means, and the tweeter is already toed in greatly due to the design.
