Speaker Wire and equal disdance

I am sure this question has been asked before, I only want to know if say one speakers wire is 5ft and the other 10ft, would you actually be able to hear a difference. I hate coiling up a bunch of speaker wire on one side because it is much closer to the A/V reciever.

I've read that the signal in the wire is close to the speed of light. So, I wonder at what length we would have audible issues. Say.. 5 ft and 10,000 ft? 100,000 ft?

Transmission speed wouldn't be the issue - cable resistance would be.

Good point, I thought about that too. Still, if impedance was not an issue, I do wonder at what length it would be an issue. Just completely theoretically of course. While Bob doesn't want to coil wire near the AV, I don't think we earthlings want him to coil his wire around the earth...

Since a DBT showed that a 24ga wire was audibly different from 12ga and somewhat from 16ga, I'd say 300ft of 14ga may have the same resistance
or, something like that.
