I don't know if I am looking at this wrong or what, but take a look at APC's overstock and refurbished products for apparently good deals. For example they have H10 and H15's for $159 and $169 respectively. I think the lowest I've seen an H15 for is about $300.
Must...resist...urge...to...buy....(I bought one of those Newpoints for $60 over the winter).

Apc H10

The APC H series are great, excelent build quality, and they include voltage regulation. I got mine on sale for about $150 new, but they usually sell for close to retail.

I've bought a few UPS's from the APC refurb store with no problems. You just need to check often as the stock changes frequently.

Excellent find, I've been wanting a nice power conditioner for a while, just been waiting for a killer deal like this.

Oh for crying out loud. I think I have to buy one now with 15% off and free shipping. I read the manual of the H15 and my Newpoint conditioner I got for $60 last winter, and this one does so much more. Now that I am no longer on an ultra strict budget, I can afford something a little more. I just hate upgrading something I haven't had that long though...

But the geek in me says I must buy this just so I can watch how much power it is drawing when everything is plugged in. My wife just isn't going to understand.

Now the question is, when do I place the order so it arrives at my house on Friday while I am home and my wife is working?

Just curious if anyone has an opinion on if the H15 would be any better than my Belkin PF31D. They both seem to have basically the same inputs/outputs. Thanks.

I was reading on the AV123 forums where they were saying the Belkin and Monster products in this category weren't that great.

Thanks, GR. I read the thread from the link that Jeremy posted, and the remarks seemed to be geared towards the power conditioning part of it. Did you see others, or were you referring to that thread?

Thanks, again.

just referring to that thread... I didn't do any in depth research into the belkin units.

I own a Belkin PF60 and it works exactly as one would expect. There is no issue with its build quality and functionality. The item has protected my gear during power surges as one would expect from a UL certified piece of equipment. From what I have seen the APC units and Belkin units are similarly classed and built (I have seen internals of both).

It should be noted that these items will not actually produce audible/visible increases in performance, but are rather high quality surge protectors that have other features such as switching etc...

Dang another great deal! Does anyone know how frequently they have this much stock and a coupon code like this? I don't need one now, but I def do when I build my home PC and hook up all the surround and such to it.

I don't know, but they are going for the same price on their regular website, not just their overstock page. If you need one, I would get one now in case they are discontinuning this model and clearing them out. If you end up not needing it, I'm sure you can sell it and even make a few bucks.

Clearly you think like I do. I was hoping someone who was a tight wad would chime in first, but I guess I will have to add this to the list!

Just ordered 2. Not sure that the coupon code worked for me. I put it in but it still showed up that it was charging me for shipping and no 15% discount. I guess we will see when the charge hits my account. Either way I got 2 shipped for over $100 cheaper than a black one or normal price one is. SWEET DEAT.

Well, I didn't order one until the 15% off coupon showed up too. I finally ordered one on Sunday for about $144, hasn't shown on my credit card yet, so I cannot verify if that is the final price for me.

I'm not sure I really needed it, but I couldn't resist...and it showed up today. I wasn't expecting it for at least a couple of more days. I'll be opening it later this evening...

Dang it, got too ambitious for my own good. I took the APC box out of the cardboard box and broken down the cardboard box because my garage is overflowing with them. Took the APC inside, and while going up the stairs I heard something rattle in the box, thought that might not be good. Unboxed the unit (neither box had any sign of damage) and the styrofoam inside the APC box is busted and multiple small pieces fall from one end of the H15 to the other on the inside if you tip it back and forth. I'm thinking somewhere along the line it took a hard fall, but since neither box was damaged it's hard to say if it happened in shipping for sure. I'm assuming since this item is for power conditioning and there's no telling what is broken on the inside I probably shouldn't even plug it in...I guess it's time to check out APC's customer service...

A couple folks on the av123forum mentioned that their H15s that just came in had a loose/free screw. Sounds like they are getting tossed around a bit during shipping. A few people had units with no problems so who knows. Mine hasn't gotten down to Florida yet.

Thanks, I was aware of that thread and knew a lot of people there ordered one too, so I just checked there and saw people mentioning that loose screw. I opened mine and found 1 loose screw, 1 loose piece of foam padding, and a small broken little piece of plastic. I could not tell where that last part came from. So I put it back together and am going to proceed with connecting it up.
