My F112 is pushing 1500w, and the F113 is push'n 2500....

Thats some serious amperage, but obviously to implement that kind of power comes at a price... It would be great to see more companies implement that kinda power.

If the 3rd party measurements are as good as HSU's claimed measurements they will be selling a crapload of these subs in no time.

I bet Mike C has several on order .
no, still debating myself. and this time, i might not want to be the guinea pig beta tester for a new product. i'll let some more people test them and maybe even wait for 3rd party tests.

once bit, twice shy I guess.

Over on the Hsu forum, "Pete_Hsu" says:

"Note that in the 16Hz ULF Trim mode, the subwoofer starts rolling off gently below 16Hz when measured outside and away from reflective boundaries. To take advantage of room gain in small or medium sized rooms, one can adjust the knob to a higher frequency as high as 50Hz. So in many rooms people should get good response down to 10Hz with room gain factored in. In some instances, by utilizing the ULF Trim control to roll off deeper bass, people can get higher output capability over the more common ranges too."
What does "ULF Trim 15 - 50 Hz" mean? Is that a low frequency cutoff or something?
yes it is dave. by cutting off the low end, you release some headroom in the higher frequencies.

i see two uses for this:
if the room is too small, you'll need to cut some low end to match room gain
if the room is too big, and you are at the subwoofer's limits ...

but, who really cuts off the low end? :D

What is with this sub having a phase switch rather than a continuously variable phase control knob?

Yeah warp that really would be nice-especially if they would also make it more affordable. The new Hsu sub does look quite appealing to say the least.

Cheers,

It is a very nicely designed sub, and the Wireless implementation is truly a bonus for many people, there is already someone reporting that you can run multiple subs of one transmitter.

Fixed.

Please put the change in bold next time, brother - or include a before and after shot when you're referencing a post from two pages ago. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out what you "fixed." :) Then again, I guess that's part of the fun.

Does anyone know if the wireless connection is spread spectrum, or if it has any technology to battle interference? It's 2.4 GHz, which is affected by phones and microwaves. I'm just curious. Thanks.

All I Can Say Is.......

It's about time!!!!!

It's a little too late for the Florida GTG next week, but we'll have to see what we can do about this in the near future. We need to put this thing up against the SVS PB-13 Ultra and the AV123 MFW-15 subwoofers.

(Now I just need to come with something catchy for the initials ULS)

I doubt it's spread spectrum. But if you look at the picture of the amplifier closely you'll see there's a set of DIP switches to change the wireless channel.
