Midcow2 - if you view the "Who's Online" under "Quick Links", and you check when the chicklet was given, you can sometimes deduce who handed it out. If red ones are like green ones, the amount of the deduction will depend on how many chicklets the other person has - that might help narrow it down.

That really only works if you can get it down to one person, though. No reason to get ticked at a bunch of people who might have done it. :)

Adam thanks, The first couple if times I got "red Chicklets" that I didn't think I deserved I was kind of upset. Anymore, I find it more humorous than annoying.

Anyway there are a lot of great people, altruistic people and informed people on this forum and you are one of the best! They make up for the occasional bad egg!

I have learned a lot of good information of this forum and have tried to provide good information as well as occasional humor. I plan to stick around an help when I can ;)

Have a great fourth!

Thanks, you're very kind! There are a lot of great people here, I agree. That's why I choose to spend my time here, and I'm sure that goes for others, too. A good, interesting forum full of people who want to help each other out. My hat is off to the founders and to all the good people here that make this such a joy to visit.

Happy fourth to you, too! Enjoy that BBQ! Mmmm, BBQ. I think that I need to get myself to the store today...

It's like any other hobby... you just get into it. I've gotten to be a pretty serious cook over the years. I've taken lot of classes and really pushed the grill thing to the limits. I've made everything from the normal burgers to chocolate cake and creme brule on the grill. I just got kinda bored with it. I decided to take a step backwards in a way and got the smoker. I found that it's really an art of sorts. You can employ all kinds of gadgets and technology, or keep it basic. You can get technical or simple... it's really up to you. I get great satisfaction of cooking on this simple big barrel of steel. It's like cooking in the most basic way. It's just you and your fire and you ability to control it. It's a lot of fun.

I got the Big Green Egg because while it's a great smoker in it's own right, the real bonus is that it can get incredibly hot - close to a 1000 degrees. Every now and then we'll buy some serious steaks online from Lobels and have at it. Cooking a steak that way completely changes things. It's a whole new experience. That's why fine steak houses like Morton's, Ruth's Chris, and Bearn's cook at such high temps.

Thinking about it... I do need to find some cheaper hobbies!
Do you also frequent Cooking Forums?

I know my wife is an awesome cook as well, and she is constantly showing me all these food pics from your forums.:D

The day I get into this cooking hobby is when Mark Levinson, Krell, or Denon makes a cooker!:D:D

I love it:) red chicklet for this post with message "Happy 4th of July"

My friends just can stand it when my green chicklet reputation sometimes goes to two greens LOL. It just doesn't bother me anymore. :)

i'd gladly hit you up but I can't add rep for whatever reason. It's never worked.
