Just got back from the theater and it was great. Script was actually pretty funny in some parts and the action scenes were very good. The director is the same guy that did Night Watch and Day Watch so this film is done in the same style with lots of slow-mo shots. There were some things that didn't follow the comic book but if you have never read it you would never know.

I was not too hopeful based on the trailers, but I loved the movie. I am not a Jolie fan but she was quite good. McAvoy was excellent, moving from wimphood to confusion and eventually to fierce anger. Morgan Freemen, of course was was his usual fine self, portraying an uncomfortable mix of benevolence and evil. In spite of the non stop action, I thought that the narrative development was quite good and the art direction notable. This movie is definitely worth a watch or two.

Just got home from watching it myself. Work was slow so I closed early. OMG is Angelina ever sexyyyyyyyyyyy!!! Got a couple of nice views of her in the movie. Can't wait for this one to come out on dvd so I can slow those shots down........LOL!!!! :D:D I thought the movie was actually quite good. Lots of good bass in the action scenes.

Cheers,

Phil

Could not agree more John. I may just have to see it again so that I can get another chance of checking out Angelina. Lets just say Brad Pitt is one lucky guy to say the least.:eek:

Phil

ITT: Speakermen that love Angelina too much

I too enjoyed this movie to a high degree. Once it gets going it's just non-stop. The narrative is great as other's mentioned. I busted up on the "sorry" jokes.

The boss sequence was my favorite comedic moment "I know junior high was probably rough for you..." LMAO... The best thing about this movie was the fact that they actually did a few things that more or less I have never seen before. It is like Fight Club mixed with a little Crank.

Watch Night Watch and Day Watch. Same director and great movies based on the books by Sergei Lukyanenko. He has his own unique style and you will see a lot of Wanted in those movies. Although if you rent them I suggest you watch them in the original Russian soundtrack for better translation.

The guy McAvoy called Russian is the main character in Day Watch and Night Watch. The old guy he goes to see in Europe who ends up telling him the truth is also in the movies as well.

This was exactly what I was looking for from a movie this weekend; it actually exceeded my expectations even though the Russian trailer looked really good. It was high energy, it was funny, and it was well done.

Off topic: The other two things of note, they showed the trailer for the new Mummy and the new X-Files movies.... I already knew about both, but these are the first trailers I've seen for either. The Mummy features Jet Li and looks like standard fare for the series, however the X-files trailer looked pretty interesting.

Yeah I can't wait for the X-Files. I will be passing on The Mummy because of no Rachel Weisz. Her replacement isn't even british and has the worst fake accent.

Are there any trailers yet for this?
Unless he's hallucinating I believe he did say he saw one.:D To answer the question though, yes there is at least one trailer out now. You could watch it on your computer, but I don't know how long it would take (I seem to remember you saying you had either a slow computer or connection:D).
