well i finaly did it bought a 42" plasma saturday got it for 999 with 36months no interest so it only comes to 29$ a month im so happy now i can say i have a full hometheater:) and thanks to all of you on here that lead me twards getting the panny.
i one question though just bought a pair of component cables they are rca picked them up for 10$ just want to make sure i wont get any better picture by getting a better pair i know i read that cable is cable on her many times but i dont know when cheap cables are worse or the same then decent ones i did order a hdmi from blue jean cable since that was the cheapest i could find but the component cables are kinda of expensive if you ask me any input on this would be great thanks......

What brand of cables and how long? Really cheap cables can be a problem.
How does the picture look?

Congratulations on your new TV! Color me jealous.

Just curious - what brand of cables did you buy? $10 means different things at different stores.

they are 6' RCA component cables bought them from meijer but the picute looks better than the s-cable wich is monster brand that was hooked up before im thinking because it is progressive now vs interlaced

well i got my blue jeans hdmi cable on wensday and i cant see a difference between that and the rca brand component cables so i guess the fact that they were only 10$ didnt make a difference i use the hdmi for my lg upconverting dvd player and the component cables for my toshibia dvd recorder/hdd player in which the dvd player freezes up that is why ihave a seperate dvd player...

Yes, the largest video improvement comes when you go to the 3 color signals, component or HDMI. But, between these two, usually not a great deal of differences although it would make sense to see a bit of difference when you don't have to digitize a signal and stays in the digital domain.
