Hello,
I use to have an old TV that did not have Composite Inputs for DVD Players. So I bought a Converter Box. That allowed me to plug the Composite into the Box The Coax in the box and another Coax to run to TV.

Then to watch a Dvd all you had to do was select channel 3 and turn on the Dvd Player.

Now I was wondering if their is a Converter Box That will allow me to plug in Composite Cables in and Output Component Cables to the TV?

Any help is really appreciated...And yes I know this is probably a stupid
question. But any ideas or help is appreciated.... Thanks, This is my first
post.

There are many receivers that can do it now and the description of features will say 'upconversion' from composite (or s-video) to component. The technical term is actually 'transscoding' but you won't see that term in product literature.

Additionally, there are switches/convertors from the likes of http://www.gefen.com that can do the same thing. Note that converting from composite/s-video to component will not change the 'quality' of the video signal, it only changes the format of the signal.

TV inputs

Most DVD players still offer composite video and/or s-video output. Check the back of the player for an output that is appropriate for your display.

It might also be time for an upgrade to a nice upscalling DVD player. Check out Oppo Digital.
