Here are some updated pics of my set-up. Just got my second LFM-1Plus this morning. Be sure to notice my new tv stand as well. Right now, the paper is still on the top of my Pluses until I decide the best placement for both subs. Hence, one is in the front right hand corner and the other is behind my love-seat. I have room to put another Plus in the front left hand corner, but not sure if that will be the best place for it. Please feel free to offer me some set-up advice. As always, it would be most appreciated. Thank you.

Cheers,

Phil

very nice! it's a lot neater now than the last pic you showed us :)

and the dual LFM must pound in that room :)

if the paper on top doesn't bother you, i'd keep it there - re-sale value will be a bit higher. (since you like upgrading) ;)

Thanks a bunch croseiv. Yeah, I like my Polks. The Pluses compliment them rather nicely. Seems to be a bunch of Polk owners around here lately.

Thanks once again Mike. The paper doesn't bother me at all. And, you sure have a point regarding my upgrade history.:eek: So far, the dual Pluses really pound. I only have the volume at 4 on the dial and it still will knock your socks off. There is also plenty of room on my receiver to turn things up a bit if need be. :D:D

Mike, do you think the Rti6's are toed in enough? Are they a bit too high?? Lastly, do you think I would be better off putting the other Plus in the front left hand corner? I was going for more of the smoother bass response As opposed to the 6db gain in output. I do believe, however, that I will be ordering (2) Grammas very soon. Hopefully, they will enable the Pluses to sound even better as well as contain some of the lower LFE. Appreciate any comments Mike.

Cheers,

Phil

re: RTi toe in ... i think that they are toed in a bit much BUT, i think it's for the better because of its proximity with the side walls. unless you can do treatments for the side walls, I'd probably leave it as is. (but you should try both toed in and straight out)

if the tweeters are at your ear level, they're not too high.

re: dual pluses, I think you should try the dual fronts as well as an experiment, dual fronts will let you feel the wave of bass coming from the front and symmetrical placement. one plus near the couch will give you the couch shaking feel ... it's all up to you :)

Thanks Mike. Thought the toe-in was a bit too much. This is why I was asking. I will just experiment a bit and see if it really makes a difference. Plan to try my other Plus up front on the left hand side and see how I like it. May even try both behind my love-seat.:eek: Down the road, I may look into some room treatments. My next buy will be the Grammas. Appreciate the help Mike. Have a good evening.

I think your current sub config will provide a flatter response than having them both up front. http://www.harman.com/wp/pdf/multsubs.pdf Nice setup BTW. Did you get your surround issue resolved?
I agree regarding obtaining a flat response. However, it is still going to be fun experimenting and as such learning something. After all, that is one of the main reasons I love this hobby. As far as the surround issue, it appears I have corrected it. Must of just been in my settings somewheres. Thanks for asking. Appreciate the compliment.

Phil

Thank you very much. It is quite challenging in such a small room. Just not much room to work in. However, thus far it has really paid off. I agree with you regarding the Polks. Glad you like yours as well. ;);)

So what did you use as your first music/movie to listen to the new subs? When my Ultra arrived I had to watch Star Wars Episode II for the opening scene ship fly over.

Yes, Star Wars is a very good one to be the first. I got to watch "The Eye" and must say it had decent LFE effects. It also starred Jessica Alba-need I say more? I mean, just watching her was worth the price of the movie. :p:p

Jessica Alba is probably the most attractive woman in the world!!

She has done very well for herself in the movies.

Tommy, Jessica Alba is one of the, if not the most, attractive woman ever. I have really enjoyed watching her in several movies. A true angel if you ask me. :):) The thing I like the most though is how she always maintains a high level of decency. Jessica is just a class act imho.

How much were those subs? And how much are you going to ask for them when their day comes? I wanna start negotiating now. :) Take the paper off now if it'll reduce my cost. :D

i hope you get many years of enjoyment out of them.
I'm just hoping he enjoys them until I can afford them. :D:)

Hi Alex. Hope all is well my friend. Looks like I will be hanging on to my Pluses for a while. However, if I do decide to sell them I will let you know. It does see, however, that I do go through a lot of gear. :p:p Thanks for posting.

Cheers,

Phil
