Bummer, their site seems to be down at the moment...

On a similar note, Best Buy is running a 2 for $30 sale on a good bunch of Blu-rays. I ordered online and pick up 'The Departed', 'The Usual Suspects', Resident Evil 1 & 2' all for a little over $60 including local tax.

Seeing how Departed was labled at $28.99, Suspects at $34.99 and both R.E.s at $24.99, $15 each ain't so bad... -TD

Those $7.99 titles are all budget priced to begin with; I think normal price is $14.99.

There Will Be Blood and Cloverfield are $24.99 on Sunday at Target (others as well).

Those $7.99 titles have been fluctuating between $8-10 at Amazon. Also, Cloverfield is only $19.95 at amazon. There will be blood is ~$28. In case you can't tell, I've been getting most my BD's from Amazon, due to the low prices. But their prices fluctuate quite a bit and quite often. Still, all titles are regularly 30% below retail. Their are also some very good prices there on used movies.

Seriously, I have no life.
As I keep my eye on them, I see many of the BR have very low bitrate and just 25G one layer time:mad:

Not sure how big of a factor that is. Goodfellas looks very good. Blood Diamond and Last Samurai have excellent video quality. Blade Runner is nothing short of amazing in terms of how solid it looks now. I watched TWBB this weekend and noticed a bit of grain in a few scenes at the begining, but overall it looked very good.

Of those, I picked up Training Day since that is the best price I have seen on it so far. Haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

Do these movies you mention shows the bit rate on the box? When I looked at some, not all has it, probably the newer films or the studio practice, but some did and was low compared to what the format can handle.

Not sure, I'd have to check. I think all indicate what encode type it is, but not always the bitrate. The quality of the original is also going to be a factor here.

I noticed that Sleepy Hollow has either a really bad transfer or low bitrate, because the video quality is actually worse than the DVD at times. I can see finer detail, but there also seems to be a lot more grain than there should be incertain scenes. I gave up on bitrate and just go by how it looks.

I looked it up and Blood Diamond got a 3/5 for video, but I thought it looked great. Last Samurai got a 4.5 and the others got 4s.
