I've been looking for the same thing. It seems that everybody is selling them for the same price. However, I did find that proview digital dot come has rerurb units that will save you about 450 of the price. Not sure if it is worth it so I haven't bought one yet.

Yeah I saw ProjectorPeople already. But seems like the price is the same all over. Panasonic has everyone on lock down.

J&R will BEAT anybody's prices. Just look at all the internet prices and call J&R. Also check out local store sales. For example, if your local store is running promotion of the projector for $2K, call J&R and they may just price-match it!:D

If you are an AVS member, you knock off $100 at PP.

Still, I submit Costco as the best place if only for their legendary CS. Oh, the prices happen to be excellent. :D

You can go and have a look at bestbuy or walmart, sometimes they have very good price for tvs.

David, are you sure the Panasonic is bright enough for a 135" screen?

Has anyone actually used it on a screen that big?

There are people using pretty big screens with it, even bigger than 135" I believe. If you like it both big and bright, I would check out high power screens like DaLite with 2.8x gain. Pretty affordable IMO as well. Compromises are smaller viewing cone, and of course, not AT. OTOH, more resistant to waves due to stiffer material. Search here
