That is what I need to finish my system.. Here is a list of what I got now for speakers and power..

Denon 3808ci
BP7006 towers
clr 2002
(Picking up a supercube I soon)

I am using an old set of Boston's for the 5.1 surrounds right now, they worked in the apartment but i am in a house now.. I really like the Def Tech's so far, I've been wanting a set of BP2X's for the 5.1 but I just picked up a 3808 with the 7.1 so of course I have to hook it up..

Whats the general opinion on the bipolar BP2x's? or would the BP1x's work just the same? should I buy 4 of the same or do the rears not need to be as "good"? As in a set of BP2x's for the sides and 1x's for the rears.. (there is a price differance) Or is there something else out there..

Then a power conditioner, something for the rack like the panamax 5100pm, however i don't want to spend that much.. doing a search on here had some really good deals but there sold out or just really old threads.. any help with this would be great..

thanks guys..

In my opinion, the main thing is that it's best to match driver size. The 7006's have a 4.5 mid... I would think you'd want to match that up with surrounds that have comprable drivers.

As far as line conditioners go... this one has been talked about a lot and it pretty inexpensive. It may not have all the bells and whistles of the more expensive units, but I've read plenty of articales that seem to think line conditioning is pretty much a farce, or at least so much so in any less expensive unit... say under a grand.

Power conditioner

Look for a deal on one of the APC or Belken power centers. The APC H10 and higher include voltage regulation in addition to all the power filtering and suge protection features.

Before I bought a power conditioner I would document and test your power at the outlets and see if there are any variances over a period of time. If it is stable, and doesn't fluctuate with major power dropouts or dips, I wouldn't necessarily run out and buy a conditioner.... where a really good quality Surge Suppressor would be just as effective to protect against natures fury...

If you're referring to the Newpoint 204220, Amazon.com has one in stock at $88.50. A little more expensive, but available.

gweedo, what are the dimensions (LxWxH) of your space? I'd definitely prefer the BP 2Xs for side surrounds. If your back wall is narrower than 12' you might consider the ProCinema Monitor 1000s instead. Otherwise, either the BP2 or PM1000 should work well.
