No all existing orders and orders done today will be honored. So if you are thinking about getting a system, you better scoop it now.
Thanks for clearing that up Gene. I cannot wait until I get mine!

I haven't seen a tracking number for my order. How are the RBH systems being handled? Will Audioholics send me a tracking number?

I had to email them to get my tracking number. I got my package in today but it was missing both the right speaker tower and the center speaker. I already contacted support on this. How disappointing...

It should be five different tracking numbers. Did you check all five numbers too see if FedEx didn't load some on the truck?

My order is coming next week.

Hi Majorloser.
I didn't realize that each package had separate tracking numbers since i only received one tracking number. Thanks for informing me.

At least with UPS, I've had a company just supply one tracking number, but the UPS web tracker will contain a link to all of the tracking numbers associated with it. For example, I currently have two boxes coming with two different tracking numbers, but they are both linked on UPS's site to the one number given to me by the shipper.

Perhaps FedEx has something similar.

FedEx does have a "master tracking number" that's will show the status of all the packages. They may not be the greatest, but FedEx makes regular home deliveries on Tuesday–Saturday between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m.

I'm jealous he got his today. (even if he's missing pieces)
He's got new toys to play with over the weekend.

I guess the master tracking number only worked for the one tower speaker. Oh well. I guessed the other tracking numbers (same as the master tracking number only with two digits being different) and it seems they were pushed back until the next business day, which is Tuesday :(.

Haha! I finally have good speakers now!

Can you provide feedback/review

dragon875,

So could you give us an impression/review of the speakers? I am really interested in opinions of the TK-5CT owners.

Thanks,
Dustin

Dustinnguyen, sorry for the late reply. These speakers are awesome! Of course, coming from a $100 home theater in a box, anything will sound excellent. :p The TK-5CT produce great sounding lows. I was amazed with the amount of bass that comes out of these.

The highs sounded great until the music became incredibly loud. When I was listening to the album Lateralus by Tool and it got to the louder parts of the music, the highs did not sound right (Sounded like it was all blended together and not clear at all. I don't know, I am a total noob at this). I think this is not to the speakers fault, but to my entry end receiver (Pioneer, 100 watts per channel, don't know the model right off hand). I hope to get a new receiver soon.

Other than that, I have only watched a few movies with them but I was blown away with the amount of detail I am able to hear now!

Thanks Dragon,

Do you think the treble is too detailed (bright) sometime?

I certainly haven't noticed it in the towers. The bookshelf speakers sound a little bright but only slightly. Since I use the bookshelf speakers for surrounds only, it does not bother me.

I've been living with the RBH TK5 system for nearly two months now, and I'm still impressed with it almost daily. I was one of the fortunates who got the free RBH upgrade when the Audioholics Store was offering the special on the EMP EF30 system in May. As for the TK-5CT towers, I've done A/B comparisons with several speakers, including my beloved Infinity Kappa 8.1's which I've had since 1995, and some PolkAudio RM-8000t's which I was pretty happy with. Honestly, the sound quality of the TK-5CT is so much better overall that it almost seems like an unfair comparison. The clarity and detail is really amazing, from the treble right through the midrange and bass. The Kappa's have 12" woofers and not surprisingly have better lower bass extension, but the TK-5CT bass is a lot tighter and punchier. Also, I wouldn't characterize the TK-5CT as "bright", but rather as "clean", and MUCH less fatiguing than the Polks. I've been greedily digging through my music archives just to see how awesome my old favorites sound on the RBH system... It's been a real treat. It really seems like I'm listening to some of them for the first time. My only concern now is that I can't stop wondering how incredible the higher end RBH speakers must sound!

Will a 90 watt per chan. receiver like the Onkyo TX-SR606 bring these speakers to life? Or should I pay $100 more for the Pioneer 1018-AH-K with 110 watts?

These speakers are coming on Wednesday.

avr power ratings

vtsteevo,

I would not recommend purchasing the Pioneer just for the psuedo power rating, both AVRs you mentioned are part of the marketing that they claim 90 watt or 110 watt per channel but that's only for 1 channel fully driven, if you have 1 speaker channel, great... the extra wattage may help, marginally.

Either AVR will only feed your 5 or 7 speakers about 30-40 watts or less with either AVR... so the extra $100 is not worth it. You will clip or distort easily if you try to ramp up the volume.

To provide true real power, look at your speaker's impedence load and RMS or program wattage range then feed it with an separate amp like emotiva ultra series (125x7 is a great one) or multiple pro-audio amps like qsc or crowns or even american audio with a fan mod plus line level boost box.
