Wow Mike very nice. I just love the Studio 20's myself. Everything looks really nice. The only place I see where you might want to consider upgrading is the sub. I used to own a PS1000 v.4 and found it to be decent on ht material. However, musically it left much to be desired. Not really sure where your preferences are, but I am a bit picky about my music. Of course, this is MY opinion and as such what really matters is what YOU prefer. If, you really like the PS1200, then maybe add a second one. Dual subs co-located will yield a 6db increase in output. When placed apart, dual subs will help to reduce standing waves thus smoothing out the bass response. Very well done Mike. Keep up the good work. You should be proud.

Cheers,

Phil

Mike,

Sweet gear.:D

My only comment would be with your center channel. Having it on the bottom shelf may not be your best setup. I know those things are huge and would take the weight of your TV if you wanted to change your placement.

Mike, nice indeed!

My center channel would likely feel inadequate and slink away after seeing either of yours (the new one or the original). Either that or it would get all pumped up and go into little-dog mode. Those things are huge!

thanks everyone, I'll probally add a different sub later on in the yr and hopefully an amp but right now i have to stay low in the audio department. The soon to be wife thinks we went overboard on just speakers and wiring so give i'll give it a few months for maybe svs sub.I'll have to do some more research on quality subs and amps.

Most folks on here would say SVS for a sub,as it is a great company. As far as good advice , there are so many great people on here and 98% of them have great advice as well. Hope your purchases go well in the future for you....:D

1. I've been very happy with SVS and my PC-Ultra, so I'd recommend the company. I've never heard your sub, so I don't know how it would compare to their line of subs. As long as your happy with it, there's no reason at all to think about getting anything different.

2. I got a 200W/channel 2-channel amp and was so happy with the improvement in my front speakers that I then got a 150W/channel 7-channel amp to run the center and rears (yes, more channels than I need...long discussion...there's a thread here somewhere on it). Truthfully, I didn't hear much difference with the second amp, and I'm guessing that's because the 2-channel amp already lightened the load on my receiver. Also, I couldn't tell a difference in sound quality between the receiver alone and with the 2-channel amp until I turned the system up louder. At my normal everyday listening levels, the receiver alone sounded the same. So, for me, there was a big improvement at louder movie levels with the 2-channel amp, and a little bit of an improvement with the second multi-channel amp. My NHTs are pretty inefficient, so they benefited from the extra power. I don't know if the Paradigms will, but I'm sure that someone here sure does! My point? An amp may not help, or a 2-channel amp (probably less expensive than a 5- or 7-channel amp) might be enough.

Nice equipment and clean installation. Always a good way to do things. I agree with highlander though, I would mount the tv on the wall and move the center channel above the tv stand, closer to ear level.

Should rock the house and make going out to movies a thing of the past.
