First of all I just bought my new house and got an issue with my center channel, I have no where to put it.. is it better for sound to have under the TV on the stand or mounted above it on a wall shelf of some kind.. I am pretty limited on space for the clean look I am going for, I have a 55" sony lcd projection TV..

Second, I am looking for a 27-32"ish bedroom TV, prefer flat screen wall mountable for a good price, and of course good Quality, I here Samsung has some good stuff out right now? any help pointing me in the right direction would be great..

I think most people agree that you center channel works best under your display angled slightly up it below your seating position. I don't that doing the same from above your display would be that much different however.

For the tv... check out secondact.com they have good deals on refurbs. I have two neighbors that have both bought multiple times with them and sing their praises.

Hi queedo and welcome to the forum. There are several schools of thought regarding placement of the center-channel speaker. I believe, however, that is it best to place the center speaker so that the tweeter is approximately the same height as the tweeters in your main speakers. Of course, this is not always possible so you do the best you can. Just make sure you angle it up if it is below the tv or angle it down if it is above so that the angle of the tweeter will intersect with the height of the tweeters in your mains.

As far as Samsung goes, it is my understanding that they are selling more LCD Flat Panel TVs than any other manufacturer. With that said, that has to say something. I, on the other hand, have found their products to offer a big bang for your buck so to speak. However, I have NOT had much luck with them. It has been hit or miss with them. In other words, I think Samsung could do a better job with their quality control. I am not bashing Samsung, but rather pointing out some of the issues I have experienced with them personally. I currently have a 42" LG LCD and so far am quite happy with it. What matters the most is what YOU like. Hope this helps. Goos luck in your endeavors.

Cheers,

Phil

thanks guys..

I also prefer my center channel under the TV as that is where it has been forever.. I guess I need to find a RF unit for TSU3000.. At any rate I just found a killer deal on a Denon 3808ci to get me one step closer to finishing my TH, (just found out a guy I work with his girl works for bestbuy and wow the employee discount is increadible).. Would anyone know if the ebay deals for the RFX6000 are worth the money, I think there are 4 available right now..
