It's on page 14 of this PDF from Philips, the purple subwoofer connector slot. My son broke the subwoofer connector and now I'm left with the pos/neg cables from the subwoofer and no way to connect them to the system. Does anyone know the name of that type of connector on page 14 of the pdf? I'm wondering if I'm going to have to go through Philips to get a replacement, hope not though.

Something like this should work. Its unfortunate how alot of the mass market stuff comes with connectors like that to make things foolproof for people because most of the time it leaves them helpless when something does go wrong because you have to end up trashing the entire system unless you know how to do techical type stuff.

Like for example BOSE and their RCA connectors for speakers. YUCK!

I think Radioshack also has a selection of Molex connectors in their electronics parts section with all the small drawers although I could be wrong.

I'm pretty sure that is one of the new DIN rail connector standards. The EEC continue to specify lousy connectors with the force of law.

I have found a bulk supplier to industry, but can't find a supplier. Even Maplin UK do not stock them yet. These are the connectors I believe.

Another in a long line of GAFU from he EEC regulators I bet.

I think you will have trouble with this for a while. I would contact Phillips for advice.
