Cable purchases - help me spend my cash

I have heard complaints from time to time that monoprice speaker wire oxidizes over time. Can anyone verify this?
All I can say is that I bought a bunch of cables from monoprice in the past, and a lot of the connectors came loose! They must use really cheap plastic connectors. Same with their banana plugs. Just plain cheap. They are now sitting in the box marked "Salvation Army".:D

Like they say, you get what you pay for.

You can ship all that stuff to me, I'll take care of it for you :D

I just had to tighten the connectors up on some of my monoprice digital coax cables, but that can happen with any cable of that type, so it was no big deal. But last time I looked, monoprice didn't offer their nicer digital coax cable.

The ironic thing is that I never had trouble with the "cheaper" monoprice cables. But those "higher-end" gold plated ones gave me plenty of loose ends.:D

We can make fun of expensive cables like AudioQuest, Vampire Wire, etc., but they do use awesome connectors.

I also love the Outlaw Audio cables. They use the locking interconnectors, so when you tighten them on, they never come loose unless you want them to.

The loose ends aren't that big of a deal, you can tighten them back up with your hands and be done with it. The quality is still good, and they sound just fine, and are very reasonably priced.
