What do you guys think of this subwoofer? I know there are better out there, but do you guys think it would sound good with a pair of Polk RTI12's? I might be getting a pair of RTI12's for real cheap and I just was curious if it will match up with my Klipsch sub

I think you would be much happier with the SVS ....

SVS PB10-NSD at $429 retail or the Hsu VTF-1 at $399 retail.

The fronts should match the center speaker, but the surrounds and/or subwoofer can be independnt. If you like the RT112s then any good sub will sound good with them.

I know that SVS makes great subwoofers, but I already have that Klipsch subwoofer. That is why I am asking what you guys think of the synergy sub 10. So what do you guys think?

A review:

Product Summary

The good: Amply endowed 10-inch subwoofer; 200-watt amplifier (FTC rated); versatile connectivity.

The bad: The sonic match with its companion SLX speakers is far from seamless.

The bottom line: Klipsch's Synergy Sub-10 is powerful and musical, and that's not something you always find in midpriced subwoofers.

Specs: Type of speaker: subwoofer; Dimensions (WxDxH): 14 in x 18.9 in x 17 in; Color: Black See full specs >>

Price range: $399.95 - $399.99

Now personal experience. I have an older small Klipsh sub, KSW-10 I think. The auto-on quit working and the sub in general never did a good job. It is not in my main HT so I don't listen to it too much. Right now i have a Def Tech ProSub100; it is prestty good. My next repalcement will be a 12 or 13 inch SVS; porbably next year. Since you already have the Klipsh sub then you can judge how well it sounds. If you think it sounds good, so be it ... but when you decide to replace it I would look at SVS or Hsu.

Good luck!

I actually have a Klipsch Synergy 1 series setup, but opted for a different sub do to the Sub-10 sounding IMO to be very muddy and lagging. But then again it was on the BB floor so who knows.
