Just wondering if anyone here has PSB towers of their new line and how they measure up. They are Canadian and I am a big fan of that alone since it seems in a global world many commoditites filter through cracks although I am well aware that Paradigm is also made in TO I was just curious if any of you guys have heard these towers in action?

I heard the T45 in Windsor at Live Wire and was really impressed with them. They were on display near the front of the store as you walk in. They sounded great even though they were directed to the front door which is a lot of glass and steal and sitting on cement floor with a high ceil. It sound like a sub was playing but it was just the 2 T45's working. If they can sound great in that setting then they should sound even better at home. Classical music was playing and the piano sounded like it was in the store.

The following HT mags from Home Theater, Stereophile, and Sound & Vision have been ranting on how good the Synchrony series is. I haven't had the time to audition them

I have the T45s and love them. They are detailed and have wonderful low bass response especially for their size.

Like 3db, I haven't heard the Synchrony's yet, but I need to get a C40, so when I do I hope the nearest dealer will have them so I can listen. :)

I just purchased the Synchrony Two B for mains and Two C for center and these
speakers produce some BIG sound. Don't let the size fool you. My listening room is 15x19x8 and they are accompanied by Emotiva MMC-1 and XPA-5.
I'm considering the Synchrony Two towers but it is hard to decide if it's
necessary. I don't think you can make a wrong decision with this line.

Amongst those who have replied where did you purchase them ? I dont have the luxury of being within a metro center like Toronto so do you guys know of any online retailers?

Excellent question. I have never seen them online, and the last time I saw them in a B&M was in Montana (I liked what I heard then, though.) If they want to sell speakers, they should really make them available to the rest of us.

You don't see B&W or Mirage in a brick and morter store. PSB uses speciality audio dealers like many other brands

Other way around. B&W is sold only in brick and mortar stores (which they have in most cities), while Mirage is available at all Ultimate Electronics outlets.

I thought brick and morter stores were the Best Buys, etc. My mistake.

I believe the term you were thinking of was "big box stores". (Of course, UE is a big box store and they carry Mirage.)

There are a couple reputable online dealers for PSB. Check out Saturday Audio and DMC electronics. Many poeple have had good luck. Personally, I bought my PSBs used from audiogon and had a great experience.

Purchased mine online w/DMC. Arrived in perfect condition in a very timely manner. I think Audiophile liquidator has discounted prices. Good luck.

Another very reputable on line retailer is audioadvisor? They carry the entire line up of PSB's(alpha's to the synchrony lines) and to my knowledge they are an authorized dealer.

Audioadvisor is a great online dealer! You CAN find a MUCH better deal as they charge very close to retail.

Yes, PSB is a Canadian company but I think the speakers are actually manufactured in China now. Regardless, for the money, I think they're some of the best speakers out there. I haven't heard any of their newer ones, but have read some great reviews on the Synchrony line. I'd love to audition the Synchrony One but sadly, nobody around here carries them. I have several pairs of their older speakers and they all sound great.

PSB dealer are not allowed to sell and show their prices online in Canada. But if you would like to order as if you were online, I know a dealer that ships across Canada. You do everything by email and Paypal. PM me for info.

As great as they are, I wouldn't advise purchasing without listening to them. What sounds great to others may not sound great to you. It doesn't look like there are any dealers near you. Any other good brands of speakers that you can actually audition? ie. what do you have where you live?
