Directv HDR21 and yamahaRX-V1700

So I programmed the DTV remote to control my yamaha AVR and I am having one problem. My DTV reomote turns the AVR off when I press power off, however, it does not power on. I have tried multiple codes and nothing seems to work.

Any ideas? Also, how do you turn that awfull blue light on the DTV DVR. Too much blue. I fugure out the light on the samsung LCD, but I don't know how to do the DVR.

did you try the off buuton for on? the left and right arrows(4 times) use to dim the led, but i think that it just shuts it of now
