Hi!

I'm In Sort Of A Dilemma.. You See, We Got This Small Room In Our House (Sorta Like Our Basement) And We Recently Bought A Brand New TV And A Brand New Surround Sound System. We Bought Everything On The Cheap Because This Room Will Act As Our Second HT Room (For Playing Games And Stuff.. Apparently Our Main System Is Too Loud For The Neighbors So We Bought A Less Powerful One To Satisfy Their Needs =/ )

EDIT: Audioholic's Review Of My System: http://www.audioholics.com/reviews/htib/denon-dht-487dv-home-theater-in-a-box-review

Anywayz, Here's What I Got To Work With.

The Speaker Up Close:

Back Side:

As You Can See From The Back, I Was Thinking I Could Just Screw A Bolt Into The Wall And Hang The Speaker Off Of It.. If It Comes Down To It, I Could Buy The Mounting Kit (I'm Kinda Short On Money Though.. Main Reason Why I'm Not Using Stands)

Here's The Room (Messy, I Know):
Front View From Couch:

Right View:

Back View:

Left View:

I'll Probably Move Most Of The Furniture Out (Shelves And Stuff) But You Get The Main Idea.. Its Not Really The Ideal Room.. But It Will Have To Do. I Was First Thinking I Could Mount The Left And Right Speakers On The Front View Of The Wall.. But I Really Don't Know How Powerful These Speakers Are. I Don't Want Any Hiss/Noise Coming Out Of Them.

Please Help Me! It Would Help Alot If You Gave Me Visual Diagrams (Draw Ontop Of My Images) Or Give Me Suggestions On Weather I Should Wall-Mount With Just Screws, Buy The Wall Mounting Kit, Or Buy Stands. Thanks!

Can you move your couch where your TV is now and the TV to where the couch is now? That would give you a larger front wall for the TV and front speakers.
I would experiment with wall mounting with screws first if you find the wall studs to screw into. The hole would be small enough to patch and repaint if it doesn't work out.

LOL, your shift key gets quite the workout I see :D

Seriously though, I would advise against just ramming a bolt in the wall and letting your speaker hang off that bolt. You say you don't want any unwanted noise coming from them, but if you just hang them loosely from a bolt if they vibrate or rattle due to low frequency response whatsoever they will possibly rattle against the wall making things worse and secondly they may scuff up your wall.

You don't have to buy the professionally made speaker mounts, for a two hole pattern like that you could make your own very easily out of some strips of thin metal. I have made some for myself before.

.
Foam tape on the back will solve the scuffing and rattling:D

Wow, I Should Have Thought Of Moving The Couch Ages Ago! I Followed Your Advice And Switched The Two And I Like It Much Better This Way, Thanks :D

ThA tRiXtA: If I Do What MtryCrafts Suggested By Using Foam Tape, Do You Think It Will Be Ok To Hang Em' Off A Screw Or Should I Just Do What You Suggested And Make The Wall Mounts Myself?

Oh, And I Was Thinking Of Buying A TV Wall Mount And AV Shelf Rack For The Room And Was Thinking That I Could Just Use The Top Shelf For The Center Speaker And The Left And Right Speakers, Or Do You Think I Should Just Use It For The Center And Mount The Left And Right Speakers?

Thanks For The Help So Far :) I Really Want This Room To Look Good And, Most Importantly, Sound Good!

Glad that works better:D
Since you swapped locations, the front speakers can be mounted other ways, stands, or shelves on equipment stand, etc.
The two rear or on the side wall actually where I would mount them now facing the couch, if there is a stud there, try the screw method. Rears don't get much low frequency effects and certainly not much what there is. Set the rears to small speakers, and use a sub. that certainly limits the low frequency issues.

Screw it

I have four Klipsch surrounds hanging by wood screws and it works fine. My speakers came with little round rubber stick-on feet, I know you can find sticky-back rubber feet at Home Depot for a couple of bucks because I bought some for my BFD. I would use a stud finder to locate studs and hang them on studs. My speakers are rated to 70 Hz but the surround channels seldom put out any bass that I can tell. Don't go for elaborate solutions when simple and cheap works out fine.
