I have way too many to list, and some of my favorites were already listed, especially anything that includes Jason Statham and Vinnie jones lol. But I thought I would throw this out there, since I haven't seen it on the list, with Christian Bale, was "Equilibrium". The story, action sequences, and the whole idea of the movie I just loved, if that get released in Blu-Ray I wouldn't even blink to buy it, loved that movie.

Anyone else even seen it ?

I have never seen Equilibrium but I do remember someone saying to me that they loved it!!!

I'd have a tough time picking one favorite or even a top 5 that doesn't change over time.

I usually pick movies by who directed them rather than the actors. I'm a huge fan of Hitchcock, Sydney Lumet, Billy Wilder and Kurosawa. On the other hand, I also like most John Carpenter movies and Jodorowski when the mood strikes.

I guess if I absolutely had to pick a favorite, it would be Sex, Lies and Videotape. Other candidates would be Big Trouble in Little China, Rashomon, Network, Rear Window and The Saragossa Manuscript. Sometimes I like a good character driven drama, sometimes mindless fun and sometimes high weirdness.

Equilibrium is very entertaining and is among those that I have viewed repeatedly. It is clearly low budget and lacked a little bit in the fine details, but the peformances are good, the story is decent and the key action sequeces are very well done.

After further thought, I have come up with a top 10. In no particular order:
Second Hand Lions
As Good as it Gets
Practical Magic
The Matrix
Entrapment
Donny Darko
The Full Monty
Blue Velvet
The Sting
Brazil.

I have watched Donny Darko multiple times and I still can not figure out the ending.

I just got thinking about my other favorite movie, Edward Scissorhands. Johnny Depp plays that role perfectly, the "monster" with the pure soul and complete naiveté. It's a great scene when Winona Ryder asks him why he did bad things and he simply responds, "Because you asked me to".

Honorable mention goes out to "Thank You for Smoking". Also, any movie with Drew Barrymore is highly likely to be very good. I haven't seen her do a bad movie.

The movie Pyrrho...not the series. Filmed in 2005 with Keira Knightley, Donald, Sutherland, etc. Good chick flick.
That is a good version of the story. But being only movie length, they have abridged the story somewhat. If it really is your favorite film, you might want to get your hands on the version I recommended in my previous post. You can get it, delivered, for less than $10. Unfortunately, it is not HD, or even the best video quality that is possible for a DVD.

I also want to add: The Boondock Saints and Se7en.
I love the scene in Boondock Saints where Willem Dafoe is investigating the crime scene with his headphones on looking for clues out in front of that alley and apartment building

I haven't seen Boondock Saints (haven't even heard of it until now, actually.) I guess I should give it a try.

That movie is a lot of fun. That one is definitely in my top 10. It is funny to see such a young Dafoe.

This one is always tough to answer, because there is no correct, single answer. Some of my favorites (of all time):

1.) A Clockwork Orange
2.) Mystic River
3.) Blazing Saddles - good call Adam!
4.) Spaceballs (the other quintessential Mel Brooks flick)
5.) The Big Lebowski
6.) The first Matrix
7.) The Godfather 1 and 2
8.) Taxi Driver (no one has mentioned this yet??)
9.) Requiem for a Dream
10.) Airplane!
11.) The Exorcist (the original)

...and more examples of when Hollywood actually got it right. :D

In no particular order, my favorite changes depending on what I'm in the mood for, though I really love comedies more than anything else.

Big Lebowski
Holy Grail
Tombstone
Matrix (first one only)
Sandlot
Clerks (first one only)
LotR (all)
300
Sin City
High Fildelity
Anchorman
Green Mile
Bull Durham
Swingers
Pulp Fiction
Shawshank Redemption
Caddyshack
Braveheart
and just because I love a great revenge flick and Xenu's pilot-boy gets it in the end, The Punisher.

I could go on...but it is really impossible to limit it to even 20, I left so many out...I can watch all of those many many times...and have.

Good flick, not a favorite though, and Requiem for a Dream is an even heavier (IMO) addiction flick. Basketball Diaries was also a decent addition flick.
