Trimming out AV cables

I'm trying to trim out my existing RG6 cables for my TV. I have the cable line and the three component cables to trim out. For the life of me I can't seem to strip the cables correctly to properly get the connections on. I'm trying to use the regular RG6 connector for the cable and comppression RCA's for the component. I have both a stripper and compression tool but still can't do it. What is my problem?

the compression tool I have is from Home Depot for $60, I can't find the link.

Your RG-6 might be Quad Shield which I believe is a larger diameter than regular old RG-6 that these connectors and strippers appear to be for. This is the first time that I'm seeing compression connectors for RCA. Very cool.

I would never use a compression RCA connector. I would always use solder connections.

There is nothing to touch a good soldered connection. For a good stable low resistance connection it is the gold standard. Soldering is an art at which every audio enthusiast is required to become expert.

While I agree that a Soldered connection is the most reliable and best it certainly isint for some people. Its like saying driving is something every driver is required to become an expert at. We all know that aint gonna happen. That, And its basically impossible to properly solder some cables. I would bet his RG6 is one of them.
