I'm not sure what 'smart voltage' means but if it is the same as a typical power conditioner that does automatic voltage regulation (ie adjust the voltage if it is outside a specified range) then that is good, although not entirely necessary.
I have to disagree with TLS Guy on the UPS front. A UPS is generally not necessary for a HT system unless you need it to maitain power so a bulb can cool down or if you really require the system to stay up so you can continue to watch during a power outage. For computer systems, a UPS is an absolute must...but for HT systems, not so much. A good power conditioner willl do the voltage regulation and 'filtering' so the only thing a UPS buys you is increased runtime during a power outage. I have two UPSes for my computer systems and would not go without them but for the HT I have a simple APC H10 power conditioner and that is sufficient.
