I received my Swan Diva 4.1 speakers from The Audio Insider today! They got here pretty fast as I wasn't really expecting them this week. Needless to say I am pleased. I am going to play with them a bit before I make any serious judgement calls but off the bat they sound real good. The biggest surprise is that they are sounding so good with a sub-par audio source. I had originally decided to get a Denon Receiver with pre-amp outputs paired up with a Behringer A500 to drive them. Since my living room is only a 2.1 setup and these speakers are rated at 4 ohms I figured this would work great. Well, the speakers got here before I could order any of my other equipment...so I hooked them up to my Sherwood RX 4105 (very cheap stereo receiver). This thing isn't rated for 4 ohms but it drove them...and from what I can tell so far it drove them well. Personally, I am a little shocked! Anyway, I will talk more about that later in the Amp section, since this is the loudspeaker section I just wanted to drop in and tell everybody about my new toys!

Congrats!! Enjoy!! :)

I think any modern day receiver can drive 4 ohm speakers if the sensitivity of the speaker is fairly high. It just depends on how much volume you want to fill the room with. If listening to low to low-moderate levels, I can't see a problem. Its when you ask a receiver to fill a room with sound and you drive the amp into clipping is when the problem starts
