Can't quite make out the logo but it looks to be a "W" of some sort?
Sorry I couldn't post the pic directly but my account is too new I guess.
You can copy and paste the link below to see the speakers.

Thanks for your help!

It looks like Pioneer speakers from the 1970s. They used to have that kind of wooden lattice as part of the grill. What you call a W may be a stylized Omega that used to be Pioneer's logo. It's kind of hard to see.

They are Pioneer CS series. They look like CS-99s, very large and wonderful sounding speakers. They command a pretty good price in that condition.

Yup, Pioneers. I just went and looked at them in person. They were for sale in a local online classifieds with the tuner and a cassette player, cd changer and a dvd player, all for $100. Just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas on what they were before I drove out there. I knew it was a Pioneer receiver but couldn't quite place that "W":) logo.
Thanks everyone!

Buy now, BUY NOW, BUY NOW. I am being serious, that's a killer price. The speakers alone could sell for over $300 in as good as condition as they appear to be. If they are in full working order you are golden. If anyone else sees those, they are gone.

They are not Wharfedales. Almost certainly Far Eastern, either Pioneer or Sansui

You made the right decision, the receiver and speakers alone (each) could both sell for $100 easily (the speakers probably far beyond the receiver). The CD player, Tape deck, and DVD player are an added bonus. When you can, get pictures of all of it. I want to see all your precious loot.:D

Pioneer CS-99 speakers, I believe this is what you got.

That receiver sells for around $35-45 in good condition. I picked mine up in excellent condition for $5.

Well I guess the receiver isn't as high as I expected, but if all the drivers on the Pioneer are intact it could be worth quite a bit. I would say sell them and get a better pair of new speakers that will last you a lot longer. Those Pioneers will need maintenance if they don't already.

I will, for sure. Nothing to exciting but it was a good deal, especially considering the great condition of everything. The person I bought it all from said it belonged to her father who recently passed. He bought the tuner and speakers new, I guess it would have been 1973-74-ish. And she said he just loved them and kept very good care of them. I'm happy to have found them, I will upgrade eventually as they are just my first step into the vintage field, but I'm stoked right now. Plus they look stunning with my Danish Modern / Scandinavian decor! I'll post some pics soon.
