Amazon currently has 134 Blu-ray titles - including 'Die Hard', 'Sunshine', and 'Rescue Dawn' - for up to 55% off the MSRP. As you can see, this includes many popular Fox Blu-ray titles which haven't put on sale for quite a while.

If you are just now beginning to build your Blu-ray collection, this is a great opportunity to pick up some great Blu-ray titles at an excellent price. While Amazon.com constantly prices their Blu-ray films at some of the lowest prices on the Internet, these deals drive prices down even lower, promising the best deals for Blu-ray fans.

Some decent deals and a few new titles, but the vast majority of those titles have regularly been on sale about once a month from the likes of Amazon. Still, it is the first decent size sale since Christmas and the fall of HD DVD.

I'm just weary of seeing the same titles constantly on sale. Personally, I'm not going to replace an SD disc that I already own unless I think the Blu Ray is really worth the upgrade. For example- I believe my special edition Usual Suspects disc is better than the BD version b/c of the extras on it (they have some awesome extras). And I'm still unsure why anybody would want to buy Basic Instinct 2 on VHS, let alone Blu Ray!!!

Unfortunately, a lot of the BD releases don't have all, or in some cases any, of the special features from previous special edition SD DVD releases. I am the same way - based on a few review spots, if the video or audio isn't a decent upgrade from the SD then I really have to like a particular title to buy it if I already own it on SD.

I did end up blind buying Kings of New York... really can't complain for $15.

Thanks for the heads up on the sale doby.

No problem. I picked up Sunshine and Man on Fire.

Man on Fire is an upgrade for me, but I rented it previously and it knocks the socks off of the DVD version for both PQ and SQ. Harry Greggson-Williams' score is so much better in dts-ma

An easy choice. This one has zero extras, but that's okay. The film smokes so hard I don't care to wait for a special edition.

I am pleased to see more and more extras finding their way to the BD releases though. The upcoming 2-disc Blu-ray release of Patton looks pretty schweet.
