1080p issues-receiver related

I have the following components: Panasonic DMPBD30K Blu-ray; Onkyo TXSR-805 Receiver; Epson Powerlite Home Cinema 1080 UB; all connections are Monster 1000 HDMI with a Rapidrun HDMI cable/plates.

I am able to get a picture on all DVD settings (480, 720, etc.) except 1080p (flickers). In addition, when I leave the setting on Auto (where formats like 720 or 1080 are automatically chosen) I also have a flicker effect.

I'm trying to determine whether the issue is a setting adjustment with one of the components or with the rapidrun cable (due to the 1.3a capabilities of all of my components, I am unsure rapidrun is 1.3 compatible).

Need some expert insight!

How do you know it's the receiver. Try connected the dvd directly to the tv, first w/ the cable already connected to it, and then w/ the monster. If you don't get a flinker then you definately know it's the receiver

How long are the HDMI cables?
Let us know what happens with direct run. Is that Epson 1080p capable?
