Sony RM-VL600
I've been using Sony remotes for quite a few years now with great results. The current model I use is the VL-600. It's well laid out for touch only use, has 12 macro buttons, and controls up to 8 components. It has tons of codes built in as you'd expect, but is also a full learning remote in case there's a code not in there or you want to reconfigure the preprogrammed layouts.
Drawbacks are fairly minor. There's no interface to program it like the PC interface on the Harmony. That said, programming is fairly straightforward. The other drawback is that it's minimally lit up. Also not a huge drawback because the layout is good and you can find your way around by touch easily once you get used to it.
The remote currently sells for $16 at Amazon which is a steal for such a powerful and functional remote. Maybe not as sexy as a Harmony, but better in some ways and every bit as functional.
