I've bought many outlet covers to replace the ones in my house - they are 22 cents at Home Depot.

I've got some magic beans that would go nicely with those outlet covers.

I like the square sheets of adhesive backed paper that you cut to form and put in your cd player to improve sound dramatically.

"Codename Turquoise turned my $200.00 CD player into a $10,000 CD player. SIMPLY INCREDIBLE." - Customer

What can I say, simply incredible.

I think Machina Dynamica is some sort of ongoing performance art. They simply can't take themselves seriously, can they? Aren't they the same people with the "Telepathic Tweak" or something like that, where they play some clicks over your phone and you, like, hold it up to your audio equipment?

The guy with the six million dollar home theater had his amps on springs like those.

Hey, the guy is making money.

Some people buy into this stuff. Check out Audio Asylum and you'll find some staunch defenders.

Buy into is right. I know a guy who at a party said that I was "really into" audio. Like it was a religion that was tying up an enormous amount of money. Meanwhile he had his iPod full of $1 songs plugged into his Bose docking station. Granted, I can't listen to my system while I'm walking my non-existent dog but our costs are similar.

Another guy I know uses speaker wire elevators for his 2 channel system even though he knows what's said about that here at AH. He's the first to point out that if he believes it sounds better, then to him it does sound better.

The absolute worst is when people that "buy" into that kind of BS drag others down the same road. Not everyone can afford to believe nonsense.

Well, now you know why so many people become politicians, and / or lawyers.
It has to be irresistible to crooked politicians; once they realized the general populace is an, a s s.

I've often wondered this too, but I think the number of people who defend it are too many for him to pre-arrange. Still, I have to wonder if he's serious.

Yea, the infamous "Teleportation Tweak" ---$60.00 thank you very much.

For these kinds of things, it becomes most clear if one does a little research on the "placebo effect". Many people can be led to believe literally anything can improve the sound under the right conditions, no matter how nonsensical it may be (just read various audio forums, and you can find enough to make one feel ill and uneasy about the future of humanity). And once someone becomes a sucker for some nonsense, it is usually quite difficult to get them to see reason. This is a result of many factors, including the fact that most people have no concept of how to figure out anything for themselves (that is, they have no concept for how to do a fair and impartial test). They are totally dependent upon some authority figure telling them what to believe. That is why there are so many crazy religious cults, too.

On audio web sites, one constantly reads the mantra, "hearing is believing". Hearing is a lot easier than thinking, which is why so many fools prefer it as a method for belief formation. Never mind the fact that they use non-audible cues to tell them the right answer (who listens in properly conducted double blind tests? -- setting them up requires intelligence, which most people lack). Realizing the importance of the non-audible cues in the "listening tests" requires thinking, not hearing.

Once someone is fool enough to buy into the "hearing is believing" nonsense, they are primed for the placebo effect to work its magic.

That would explain a lot. They make a lot more sense as art than as a real company. The sad thing is that there are people deluded enough to actually buy their stuff. Clever little clocks?!:D

I love that there is a separate insert for your CD player and your High Def DVD player.

I am just bringing this up so that people will know that they need to spend another $34.00 when they upgrade to an HD DVD format, and in case they already have, but haven't purchased the seperate CD Masking kit, then they should do so soon IMO.

;-)

WoW , I just read the reviews for the "Clever Little Clock" and I can't decide which blows me away more, the Telepathic Tweak, or the Clever Little Clock. They both just seem outrageous, I can't decide which is more over the top?

What are the threads views on the two products respectively?

It is interesting you bring that up, I have no idea, am not a lawyer, and don't claim to be, but I wonder if they are protected by such sentences, in their own descriptions like this one, from the Clever Little Clock description:

"The Clever Little Clock does not plug into the wall and has no direct or indirect influence on the "audio signal" per se -- not on house wiring, audio components, cables, interconnects, power cords or acoustic waves in the room."
