Warp from what I read about your taste you might really like the PSB Platinum. The M2 is a superb bookshelf with a bigger slam in the bass department than the Studio 20 while still retaining a clear midrange. Also another contender would be the Dali Mentor 2 which I found to have less bass than the PSB but even clearer mids and highs. And then you have the Helicon 300 MKII which IMO combines the best of the PSB in the bass department with the mids and highs of the Mentor 2 in a beautiful cabinet. The Helicon is the same exact price range as the Dynaudio.

Thanks gus... Those Helicons are truly beautiful looking speakers... I would love to hear them, and there is a dealer in my area, maybe I'll have to make a trip for an audition.

As far as the PSB's there are 2 problems, one I can't hear them anywhere close to me and two in the looks department they don't really do it for me... Syncrony's yes, Platinums not so much...

Well I got my SVS RMA info, so the MTS line will be headed back home.. truly nice speakers, but just too laid back in the mids for my tastes...

On a side note it seems like I had an opportunity to make a move on something else and I pulled the trigger on a product that I have always had an affinity towards. I'm not going to spill the beans just yet, but hopefully I'll see them later next week. I'm kinda excited.

Hey vdefrankjr, I'll possibly be doing this again, maybe this summer.. but more stucture and maybe less products will be on par here as we just didn't have enough time with all the different brands we had here.... But it will be posted if I do it again...

What equipment are you running, that could be added to the mix...?

I almost traded in my 40's for some Sig 4's the other day just so I could have piano gloss black but since I dont really have a job, I decided my wife would kill me.

I almost traded in my 40's for some Sig 4's the other day just so I could have piano gloss black but since I dont really have a job, I decided my wife would kill me.

Were the sigs at your dealer... new .v2?

OK I pulled the trigger on a set of .v1 Sig 4's... with a C3 in Beautiful Rosewood.

The 4's were brand new in unopened box... and the C3 was slightly used, and I know the Owner... It was a sideways move financially from the $$ standpoint between the SVS's and the Sigs but I think it will be worth it...

I got a pretty attractive price on both, so I took the shot...

So I take it you have spent some time listening to the S4's...

Have you heard the .v1 line in comparison to the .v2....? It was put to me, that the upgrade wasn't a huge difference, but a bit better....

What are your thought of them... I haven't had the chance to even listen to the Studio 40's, but I figured that I wouldn't be disappointed, with my happiness in the Studio Line I guessed I couldn't go wrong...

What are your thoughts about the differences between the 40's and the S4's...? Curious of your viewpoint, did you hear them side by side...
