Speakers not getting enough power

I recently bought a Pioneer VSX-917K A/V receiver and I'm have a 4-speaker surround sound speaker set up off of Zone A. I have a Niles 6-room speaker selector (SS-6, I believe) on Zone B, which outputs to 8 speakers distributed over three other rooms. The sound I'm getting from my 4 speakers in Zone A is significantly louder than I'm getting from any of the other rooms linked off Zone B and I'm wondering if there's a way to simply/cost-effectively boost the signal/power of the speakers in Zone B without buying another receiver/amplifier.

Probably not, but how do you have those eight speakers wired? Have you calculated the the impedance presented to the amp by those loads load in both zones? Also what are the sensitivities of the speakers hooked up in both zones?
